Northern Territory Attractions

Batchelor Butterfly and Bird Farm is situated 15 minutes from Litchfield National Park. The farm has a butterfly house and a bird aviary, as well as a collection of turtles, all set in a beautiful garden and waterfall setting.

Relax in a cold spa while the children enjoy the play area with slides and toys. Enjoy the Butterfly Cafe Restaurant and the homely, relaxed atmosphere. relax with a coffee, or stay a little longer and have a meal. See the largest man-made waterfall in the Northern Territory.

Established in 1992, the Territory Wildlife Park is a project of the Northern Territory Government, Parks and Wildlife division.

Situated in Berry Springs, a 45 minute drive south of Darwin’s CBD, and conveniently located next door to Berry Springs Nature Reserve the Territory Wildlife Park truly is the Territory’s wildest wildlife experience!

At the Territory Wildlife Park, not only do you see wildlife up-close in their natural habitats, you meet them walking through tree top aviaries, strolling around a natural lagoon and even get to interact with them during daily presentations. and so much more. You will need to allow at least 4 hours there to see as much as possible.

Eat at the kiosk, or bring along your own food and have a picnic lunch whilst listening to the wildlife choruses.

The Didgeridoo Hut & Art Gallery showcases the quality art and culture from many different areas of the Top End of Australia.

Art styles vary from the dots and symbols of the Desert people to the Rarrk of the Kunwinjku and Yolgnu of Arnhemland.

Larrakia, Peppimenarti and Litchfield are featured as well as other parts of the Territory and from parts of Western Australia.

The Kakadu Winery (4 Adams Road, Palnerston) is locally owned and operated by the Donnolley family with the assistance of winemaker Paul Williamson. The winery currently produces seven varieties of mango wines in the mango winery section, other specialty wines, and a selection of jams and preserves, with complimentary tastings and cellar door sales.


Katherine Hot Springs
These natural thermal springs (with wheelchair access), 3 km from Katherine along the Victoria Highway, consist of a number of clear pools among trees near the Katherine River. A constant 32 degrees, their therapeutic benefits are best enjoyed during the cooler months. The picnic ground is pleasant and there are walking trails and a campground nearby.

Window on the Wetlands (Beatrice Hill, Arnhem Highway ) provides an introduction to the northern coastal wetlands. There are interactive displays about the ecological processes that occur in the wetlands, the seasonal changes and the abundant wildlife.
